
Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, aka Flight of the Concords are planning to release their second album, I Told You I Was Freaky, via Sub Pop. As expected, New Zealand’s fourth most popular folk duo’s sophomore effort will feature tunes from this past season and will hit shelves shortly after said season’s DVD release on August 4. There will be laughs sprinkled in there as well, the kind that win dudes Grammys.

Dan Auerbach, Black Keys axeman and PROFESSIONAL SOLO ARTIST, has just announced the details of a tour in support of his relatively recent full-length jammer, Keep It Hid. Auerbach and his Fast Five will kick things off on November 5th in their native Ohio, all dates below.
Auerbach’s bandmate, Patrick Carney has also unfolded details of his own about a separate debut album out on September 29th titled, Feel Good Together with his side project, Drummer. (via NME)

Electropop ingénue Little Boots recently announced a new collaborative effort with Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard. In an interview at Scottish music festival, T in the Park, the digital songstress/ass-shaker announced that the two acts will work together to create a song for a new film project. Little Boots, making her way around the world, will also be headlining the Sunrise Stage on Friday July 17th at the Latitude Festival.
