The Phenomenal Handclap Band have made quite a buzz stateside this year, both their debut album and live set displaying a wild knack for turning the last few decades of pop music on their head and lacing them with speed. Now the New York-based collective is taking their lively live show to Europe, and they’ve been kind enough to take us along for the ride. In the van. By way of a podcast series wherein they share some of their favorite driving tunes, new and old. This first episode is live from picturesque Heidelberg, Germany. And as you might guess from PHB’s sound, the jams on here are quite a mixed bag. We wouldn’t want it any other way.
