Emiliana Torrini is playing her first U.S. shows in support of her latest record Me & Armini, which came out last September on Rough Trade. As we’ve told you before, we’re big fans of the alluring Icelandic singer, so now we are very excited to be giving away a pair of tickets to each of her State-side shows — with one in New York City, one in Los Angeles and one in San Francisco.
We’re proud the be the presenting sponsor Emiliana’s shows in NYC and SF shows, while KCRW will be presenting her at the LA show. These are bound to be three great performances in intimate settings, and that’s why we want to give you the chance to see Emiliana in action.
One winner will be chosen at random to receive a pair of tickets the March 28 show at the Hiro Ballroom in NYC, the March 29 show at The Independent in San Francisco and the March 30 show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles. All you have to do to enter is e-mail us here with you full contact info* and the subject of “Emiliana (city you want to attend)”. To be clear, that means please include the city you would like to see Emiliana perform if you are the winner. The contest runs through Thursday, March 26 with the winner notified that same evening. With a voice as angelic, and talent beyond normal, I could only imagine the performance Emiliana Torrini will display. A once in a lifetime chance to see the voice in person would be a dream come true!

Wow – I’d love to see Emiliana’s live show! I’m actually surprised she hasn’t toured the US before. She’s got huge fans here!

Emiliana toured in the US opening for Dido along with Travis. She is mesmerizing live. A must see!

I have seen her perform twice in Boston, once as an opening for Tricky (she was utterly amazing) during her Love in the Time of Science Tour, and once again Solo for her Fisherman’s Woman tour. Unfortunately I moved to San Diego and had to work on Monday so I wasn’t able to go all the way to LA to see her (I would have done it if my car hadn’t broken down either). Anyway, she is utterly amazing. I hope they release her Live in Montreux Show on DVD sometime and her videos are pretty cool. She is also super down to earth and sweet in person. She’s a true artist. If you ever have the chance to see her in your town DO NOT miss her show. She’s really mesmerising
