Best Singles Of 2008, #7 – Vampire Weekend “A-Punk”

Vampire Weekend’s self-titled debut would’ve landed as one of our best records of the year, but just as many of our writers listed it as their most overrated as they did one of their favorites. It seems as though preppy, private-school kids who put photos of frat houses on their CD covers can be quite divisive. Luckily “A-Punk” made our top singles category, so we didn’t have to worry about making the difficult decision.
