Camera Obscura – “My Maudlin Career”

cameraobscura

Formed in 1996 and one of our favorite bands out of Scotland, Camera Obscura has been feeding us music for over a decade. So in light of their new record that is being released on April 21, we figured we’d showcase the band’s new song “My Maudlin Career”.

Their new album, also titled My Maudlin Career, is being released off on 4AD, and is the follow up to 2006’s Let’s Get Out of This Country. Since their last album, the band has switched labels, but as their track “My Maudlin Career” shows, the band has stayed true to their sound, with Tracyanne Campbell continuing to serenade our ears with her airy melodic vocals above the upbeat rhythms played by the rest of the band.
