Kevin Devine just released his newest LP and first for Manchester Orchestra’s Favorite Gentlemen Records, Brother’s Blood, yesterday (April 28), and he’s already taking to the road. Kicking off his first ever tour with his new band, The Goddamn Band, tonight in Philly — with a stop at Lollapalooza no less — we’re honoring Mr. Devine with this exclusive B-side from the Headgear Studios recording sessions.
Born and raised in New York and currently dwelling in Brooklyn, Devine is a singer/songwriter who has been quietly honing his craft since the release of his first album in 2002. He has played close to 600 shows between June 2006 and December 2008, and doing it all without the centralized support from a label. Now with Favorite Gentleman and a band to support him on the road, Devine seems ready to take the next step in his career with Brother’s Blood. He’s also got good taste in baseball teams.
