Exclusive Listen: Rogue Wave’s “Solitary Gun”

RogueWaveWe were pleasantly surprised upon hearing Rogue Wave’s return to the fray a few weeks ago: “Good Morning,” lead mpfree from their fourth-coming LP Permalight, was an unabashed rush through poptronica tropes that have quickly soured since nerds started hurling darts at Owl City last year. No matter. Like its album’s title, that song’s energy was decidedly positive, a feeling “Solitary Gun” can’t help but radiate even more intensely. It’s direct. It’s deeply personal. It’s exactly the stripe of strummer you’d hope to hear from Zach Rogue right about now. See what we mean below.
