Beck the spazz folk rock funkster has further expanded his repertoire by re-recording the 1974 David Bowie hit song Diamond Dogs. The song will be used in the upcoming film from Baz Luhrmann titled Moulin Rouge. Moulin Rouge will star Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman and will hopefully make us permanently forget that awful “sunscreen” song / sack of crap that Lurman was most recently apart of. Beck recorded the track over a three day session with hip hop “uh huh, what what” producing guru Timbaland.
Timbaland is currently producing Beck’s next album which should be chalk full of “jammy jams”. Beck is doing some producing himself on the new Air record. Beck previously remixed “Sexy Boy” for the sexy sounding French duo on their debut Moon Safari album. Beck is currently strumming a few acoustic string sets with Neil Young.
