Stereophonic hits the road solo.

Kelly Jones, the front man for the vibrant UK band Stereophonics will be hitting the road in November…solo. Jones will be playing songs from the Phonic’s soon to be released third LP J.E.E.P.Jones stressed to BBC’s Radio 1 that this is NOT the end of the Stereophonics, but rather a mild case of the old “ants in the pants”.

Jones feels that J.E.E.P. (Just Enough Education to Perform) “is the best record we’ve ever made, and I’ve never been so proud of a record. If it falls on arse, I’m not really bothered. It’s something I’d like to do – just jump on a train with one guitar and get to one venue, play some songs and have a drink.” The Stereophonicshave just finished recording “JEEP” in Bath with Bird And Bush, and are currently mixing the album in New York with Andy Wallace. “JEEP” will be released in the Spring of 2001.
