Big Day Out festival: neither big nor out, but very DAY

The cast of characters have been named to play the 2001 Big Day Out shows held annually in Australia and New Zealand. The festival will kick off in Auckland on January 19 headlined by PJ Harvey, Roni Size Reprazent, Happy Mondays, Placebo, Carl Cox and Limp Bizkit.


Performing on some of the other stages will be Powderfinger, 28 Days, Killing Heidi, The Go Betweens, Friendly, Sonicanimation, Nitocris, Frenzal Rhomb, Japan’s Zoobombs and Germany’s Rammstein.Tickets for the shows go on sale on October 23 and can be purchased online at www.bigdayout.com.
