LA and NYC shows benefit Petra Hayden

Beck will be performing a special solo acoustic set to benefit Petra Hayden at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood on November 26th. Petra (who sings and plays violin) was a member of the now defunct That Dog, and recorded songs with The Rentals, Green Day, and a few Beck tracks (Totally Confused, Girl Dreams, Steve Threw Up). In August of this year Petra was hit by a car while crossing the street in Venice, California. She sustained several injuries to her head, leg, pelvis and more. It will definitely be several months before Petra performs or records any music.

Petra Hayden did not have any medical insurance at the time of the accident, sparking several of her friends in the music industry to put on benefit concerts for her.
She is currently undergoing physical rehabilitation & resting at home. Right now it looks like LA and NYC will host two separate shows in late November. Both shows are schedule to happen at the Knitting Factory, with the LA going down on the 26th of November and the 29th is set for the NYC benefit show. Please check out the Petra Hayden benefit site for more information on how you can help this talented musician in her time of need.
