In November Coldplay released their angelic Parachutes album to rave reviews, and have decided to show their appreciation by playing gigs in Canada and the US in February of 2001. Their first single Yellow has already blown up on KROQ-FM, and the song has been licensed by ABC-TV to use in the network’s holiday season promotional spots. Coldplay will rock Australia for the first time playing the Big Day Out Festivals in early January 2001, then plan to begin their stateside vacation in Vancouver on February 8.
