Courtney Love says Hello Suckers

While Ms. Love isn’t making music, taking care of Francis, pissing people off, and whoring herself for every media outlet available … you may remember that she also likes to dabble in the world of celluloid. She’s just started work on a new movie, titled Hello Suckers, which is a biopic about prohibition era actress Texas Guinan. The film charts her progress from showgirl to Broadway star, from the silent screen to nightclub queen. And according to Variety magazine, the film, directed by Scott Elliott, is based on an adaptation of Louise Berliner’s book “Texas Guinan, Queen Of The Night Clubs.”

Love’s return to the big screen follows her Golden Globe nominated appearance in The People vs. Larry Flynt, and a role opposite Jim Carrey in 1999’s Man On The Moon. She will next be seen starring in Julie Johnson, slated for release in autumn 2001.
Shooting on Hello Suckers is scheduled to begin early next year. No release date has been set for the movie as yet.
