Maynard James Keenan has plenty to eat on his gothlike paganistic plate. The front man for both Tool and A Perfect Circle, will be super busy in the year 2001. Tuesday December 11, 2000 Tool will be releasing a new CD and video box set both entitled Salival. Maynard’s A Perfect Circle, whose debut album, Mer De Noms, has sold more than 930,000 copies since its release in May, plans to hit the road in January for an extensive tour across the US.
A Perfect Circle tour will begin to encompass the States January 31 in Portland, Oregon, wrapping up March 31 in Minneapolis. Mer De Noms weirdly enough has become the first rock album from the West to be cleared for release in China since Guns N’ Roses’ Use Your Illusion I and II records, which were approved for import by government censors in 1997. And how very appropoe of Guns N’ Roses to title their forthcoming album Chinese Democracy.
