Bjork gears up to go Domestika on your ass

The year 2000 was an amazing year for the angelic pixie known as Bjork. She won numerous awards for her portrayal as Selma in Lars Von Trier’s shocking picture Dancer In The Dark. In addition to starring in the film she almost performed the score and released an album titled Selma Songs. In the spring of this new year Bjork will offer her fourth studio album Domestika.

9 tracks have been laid so far in the Iceland and New York recording sessions. Bjork will produce the CD herself, but has been collaborating with a diverse variety of people. Mike “Spike” Stent (who have previously worked together), Alec Empire (Atari Teenage Riot) and writer-director Harmony Korine all will lend a hand in the recording process.

Harmony (Kids writer, Gummo, Julien Donkey Boy writer/director) has penned some lyrics for a track entitled “Harm of Will”, which are available at www.bjork.com.

Elektra records tell us that Bjork will hit the States for a few intimate shows, including one in Los Angeles and another in the Big Apple.
The new Domestika is rumored to flow in May, although a release date has not been confirmed. Teasing the release of her album, Bjork will drop an EP with Alec Empire and the Broadway Quartet.
