Dandy Warhols front man Courtney Taylor-Taylor has put the microphone down, and picked up the camera to direct his first film. The untitled feature, which stars Taylor, and Scott Weiland, focuses on conversation between a group of friends 10 minutes before the world ends. The Dandy’s will play their first show of the new year at the Sundance on January 25, and the film will most likely accompany the performance.
Dandy Warhols are currently drinking heavily on tour in Europe with the last confirmed date of the tour stopping London Astoria on March 24. After meeting with Massive Attack last summer, the drum n bass kids are rumored to take over producing duties for the next Dandy’s album. Taylor has been working on material for the follow-up to Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia.
