Radioheads Must Wait Until June To Hear Amnesiac

Radiohead’s Thom Yorke posted on the band’s official site, that the band’s
forthcoming Amnesiac album will not be available before June 2001. The band
wants to “give it a fair chance within the giant scary cogs of the bullshit machine”.
Yorke said he realizes that June is far away, they still “need time to finish artwork
(and) to produce film work that goes with it”. Yorke continued to post, “We are
really proud of “Amnesiac” and we want to give it a fair chance within the giant
scary cogs of the bullshit machine. This means oiling greasy palms in clever
manner. This will take a minimum of four months to do effectively. Apparently.”

Yorke has also exhaled some venom towards critics and other evil peeps,
defending the three-year hiatus following the release of “OK Computer”, and
recent release “Kid A”. Yorke said it was “something that we had to do”. He said that
the alternative was “nothing again ever”. He added: “If you are saying that we
did fuck all for three years I guess in a way you’re right. It’s something like two
minutes of music a month that ended up on both records. Which is a joke.
