De La Rocha Hits The Studio

Zack, Zack, he’s a Lego maniac. Or a recording maniac, one of the two. Ex-Rage
Against The Machine frontman Zack De La Rocha has already recorded five tracks,
most likely for a heretofore unannounced solo album. De La Rocha, who left Rage
Against The Machine in October, recorded the songs with ?uestlove, the drummer for
Roots.

That’s not all the recording young Zack has done, however. Rumors have been floated that
he has laid down tracks with DJ Shadow and Roni Size, as well. Also, he is due to
appear on the new album from NERD, a pseudonym for The Neptunes, the
production duo behind “I Just Wanna Love You” by Jay-Z, Mystikal’s “Shake Ya
Ass” and the debut from Kelis entitled “Kaleidoscope.”
