Live Prepare New Album For Summer Release

Live is in the studio tying a pretty red ribbon on the follow up to their 1999 album, The Distance to Here. According to Live’s management, the album should be released in late spring or early summer of this year. The band has been working on the untitled album in Los Angeles, with Eleven singer/guitarist Alain Johannes, who produced the gem in his home studio. This is the first time Live have hooked up with
Johannes, who helped write and produce Chris
Cornell’s solo debut, Euphoria Morning.

Live is still in search of a mixer for their new album. While the band had some downtime from their world tour with Counting Crows, they were able to cut demos for 10 songs that would go towards this album. Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz lent his voice for some background vocals on a demo of a song called “Flow”, but there is no word on whether that track will appear on the album.
