Mogwai Says Hello To America

From Scotland with love. Mogwai will show off their latest goods, Rock Action, to these United States with a slew of shows beginning March 17 at the annual South By Southwest conference in Austin. Rock Action, the band’s third album, will be released on April 24 on Matador records. The album features special appearances from Super Furry Animals singer Gruff Rhys and Chavez guitarist Matt Sweeney, and was produced by Mercury Rev’s Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Elf Power).

Singer/guitarist Stuart Braithwaite, guitarist Dominic Aitchison, guitarist John Cummings, drummer Martin Bulloch and keyboardist Barry Burns ó will play eight North American dates before heading to Japan and Europe.

3/19 – San Francisco, CA @ Bimbo’s 365 Club

3/27 – Boston, MA @ Somerville Theatre

3/28 – New York, NY @ Irving Plaza
