Thursday Express – Coldplay Banned, Burning Airlines

Coldplay have been dazzling audiences across the US as of late, kicking out the jams from their critically drooled over Parachutes album. Apparently the Chinese government ìno likeyî, since they have banned the smash LP due to a track named ìSpiesî which appears on the album. The song is believed to posses inflammatory political content and the Chinese government ìainít having itî (snap snap). Coldplay continue their amazing tour this Friday night playing a sold out gig at New York Cityís Irving Plaza. The band have confirmed that they will play Saturday Night Live on April 7.

Burning Airlines are fueling up for their second full length flight titled Identikit. The D.C. trip founded by former Jawbox singer / guitarist J. Robbins, also features Peter Moffett on drums and Mike Harbin on Bass. The 15 track CD was recorded in D.C. last year and will take off May 7 on DeSoto. The disc will include ìDear Hillaryî, a cover by Metroschifter along with ìThe Deluxe War Babyî which appeared on a split with At The Drive-In. Singer J Robbins describes the new muse as,”A full dose of the raving 21st-century paranoia you’ve probably come to expect, along with a few forthright declarations of true love, and some perplexed examinations of inconsiderate behavior and bad love gone weird.”
