
New act, Coldplay, made a splash last night in its first showing at the BRIT music awards (Britain’s answer to the lame Grammys), taking home the honors for Best British Group (beating out Radiohead) and Best British Album, for Parachutes.
Fatboy Slim came away with best British Dance Act, and U2 continued their world domination picking up the award for Best International Group and was also presented with a special award recognizing their contribution to the music industry. Eminem was named best international solo artist.
