Garbage No Likey Cold Weather

Garbage, the rock-pop supergroup that occasionally squeeze out an album for the peeps, apparently are a bunch o’ sissys. Frontwoman Shirley Manson (who, incidentally, is from Scotland where it is cold and rainy and dark all the time) complained on the band’s website that the cold US winter is making the band “lose it.” Garbage is currently in the states working on completing their follow-up to 1997’s Version 2.0, and according to their website, they’ve already sent three new tracks for mastering.

Manson continues, “Everyone is low and subdued because the winter cold is relentless and the hours of sunshine come in meager amounts. A dead body was found floating in the river around the corner yesterday [um, ok?!]. They say the people of Wisconsin go a little crazy towards the end of winter. I guess we’re not the only ones suffering from cabin fever.” Well, you’re probably the only multimillionaires with a handful of songs in Wisconsin suffering from cabin fever. Oh, Shirley, we just kid because we love – Wisconsin in the winter is probably no picnic, as the dead body can attest (or not).
