REM Confirmed for South African Freedom Day Concert

International supergroup REM is confirmed as the headliners of the 7th annual South Africa Freedom Day Concert on April 29th in London. They’ll perform for upwards of 30,000 in the closed off Trafalgar Square, and it’s rumored that Nelson Mandela himself will make an appearance.
The band is currently preparing for the release of their 13th studio album, Reveal, on May 15th. Other artists performing in London are The Corrs, and Spice Gal Scary (aka Mel B Ö aka all washed up). Ticket proceeds (they haven’t gone on sale yet) will go to a charity approved by Mandela.
