Le Flaming Lips have taken a break from working on songs for their follow-up to The Soft Bulletin in order for frontman and creative genius (in the loose sense of the word), Wayne Coyne, to work on ideas for his first feature film. According to the band’s website, www.flaminglips.com, the movie will be about the first Christmas on Mars (awww, a family film) and Coyne will star in it as a martian, while the other two Lips will make cameo appearances. The band has been in the studio on and off working on a new album for next year.
