Carl Cox Grabs Fatboy Slim, Danny Tenaglia, Josk Wink, More For New Record

Carl Cox will get by with a little from his friends on his forthcoming album due out next year on Moonshine Music. Fatboy Slim, Erick Morillo, Danny Tenaglia, and Josh Wink are confirmed to lend a hand or two to the record. Cox and Fatty will co-headline the second round of the Boutiqueís fifth birthday party of April 27. Fatboy Slim released a mixed album last year, On The Floor At The Boutique, celebrating the same club.

The fat one spoke with muzikweekly.com and said, “Carl’s doing an album of collaborations – this is his duets album!” he continued. Actually, it’s the longest overdue collaboration in the history of dance music. It all started in 1989 when I gave him a lift home and we decided to do a track together. He’s saying ‘Star 69′ Part Two now – so I guess I need to find a catchy vocal hook for it!”

The album is nowhere complete and is rumored for an early 2002 release. Talk to Evan Cerasoli at Moonshine, maybe he knows more.
