Superchunk Finishing Up New Album

Chapel Hill indie rock veterans, Superchunk, are putting the finishing touches on their
eighth studio album, set for release on Sept. 18. on the band’s self-run Merge Records. The as-yet-untitled album is their follow-up to 1999’s Come Pick Me Up. The set features guest appearances from members of Japancakes, the White Lights, and the Rock*A*Teens. The following are confirmed song titles: “Late-Century Dream,” “Out
on the Wing,” “What Do You Look Forward To,” “Drool Collection,” and “Down Rainy Streets,” “Act Surprised,” and “Phone Sex.” For more info, check out Merge’s website, www.mergerecords.com.
