12th Annual HFStival Knocked Fans’ Freaking Socks Off

HFStival 2001, the biggest concert in Washington and Baltimore
History – over 50 performers and 120,000 folks in two days. Highlights
included two days of Coldplay, who will hit the US pavement this summer alongside Grandaddy, and lead singer Chris Martin pulling fans on stage each day. Stand out performances included Tenacious D who were introduced by
Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. Tenacious D, who will release their debut full length later this year, appeared as drug smugglers in the Foo’s Learn To Fly video. Green Day unloaded an explosive set, while Mike D with Mixmaster Mike spun an exclusive DJ set and Staind brought the house down as the electric sky grew dark. Street Stage props to Idlewild, Sum 41, American Hi Fi and Good Charlotte (who also rocked the main stage).
