Idlewild Recording Follow Up With Stephen Street

Idlewild, the 4 lads from Edinburgh who recently unloaded 100 Broken Windows here in the US on Capitol records, will follow up that release in New York with some help from Patti Smith and guitarist Lenny Kaye. Idlewild have spent plenty of time in the states this year, thrashing through sets at SXSW, Late Show with David Letterman, and opening for Placebo. Track recording began earlier this year with the help of Stephen Street in the UK, and will proceed until completion at Magic Studios in New York.

Idlewild will meet and greet their fans June 6 for an in-store performance at Virgin
Megastore in New York Union
Square and are booked to rock Late Night with Conan O’Brien day after. The band will continue to fill seats in US venues later this July, before heading back to the UK for the V2001 festival in August.
