The world’s top tier of electronic music artists ó including the Crystal Method, Paul Oakenfold, Danny Tenaglia, Armand Van Helden, BT, Mix Master Mike, Carl Craig and Roni Size ó will come together in August for a 10-city North American tour called Mekka. It was conceived as a celebration of the launch of the global entertainment company, Mekka, which will focus entirely on promoting and developing electronic music culture around the world. All genres will be represented, from hip-hop to techno to drum ‘n’ bass to trance. The event kicks off on August 4 in Montreal and climaxes on September 2 in Los Angeles.
Mekka will be held in outdoor venues, such as large fields and fairgrounds. Venues will be announced at a later date. The artists will perform on multiple stages and in tents. The confirmed tour dates are as follows:
