Napster Makes Peace With Three Majors

Napster has announced that it has made peace with three out of the five major record labels, and consequently, will license songs from BMG, EMI, and the Warner Music Group for its upcoming revamped subscription-based service. Created by Napster and MusicNet (a joint venture between behemoths AOL Time Warner, Bertelsmann, EMI, and Real Networks) the deal will involve an additional fee to what Napster subscribers will have to pay for the general file-sharing service. The deal puts Napster and the music industry one step closer to solving its liíl differences in an ongoing battle for moí money.
