Ex-Sneaker Pimp Working On Solo Record

Former Sneaker Pimps frontwoman Kelli Ali (known back then as Kelli Dayton) is hard at work putting together her debut solo album, to be released in Britain this fall on the U.K.’s One Little Indian label. The first single, the trancey Sneaker Pimp-ish, “Kids,” was remixed by Armand Van Helden and will be released this summer. Ali is shopping around for a U.S. deal and is currently working in Los Angeles with producer Rick Nowels, who is co-writing the project with her. Meanwhile, the rest of the Sneaker Pimps is boldly going on without Ali and will
release a new album this year, tentatively titled Bloodsports.
