Ben Lee played a nonchalant gig in Boston Wednesday night at T.T. the Bearís Place (whatever the hell club that is). Leeís longtime girlfriend actress Claire Danes is currently attending Yale, and Lee is in the studio recording the follow up to 1999ís Breathing Tornadoes. The 21-year-old Aussie is recording with an A-list squad including Evan Dando, Tom Petersson of Cheap Trick, and Jason Schwartzman of Phantom Planet and star of the movie Rushmore. Lee and Dando recently hooked up for Brain Damage which appeared on the Blake Babies reunion album, God Bless The Blake Babies. The yet untitled Lee project will not be on Grand Royal, as the two parties split last year.
