Damon Albarn, QOTSA, Matthew Sweet Honor The Kinks

Several modern rock giants, including Blur’s Damon Albarn, Queens of the Stone Age, Yo La Tengo and Matthew Sweet, have contributed tracks to the upcoming tribute record This Is Where I Belong: The Songs of Ray Davies & the Kinks,which comes out later this year on Praxis Recordings. Ray Davies himself joins Damon Albarn on the song, “Waterloo Sunset,” from the 1967 Kinks album Something Else. Matthew Sweet performs “Big Sky” from the 1968 album Village Green Preservation Society,Fastball play “Till the End of the Day” from 1965’s The Kink Kontroversy and Queens of the Stone Age re-interpret “Who’ll Be the Next in Line” from Kinkdom, also from 1965.
