Radiohead Goes For Olympic Gold

Radiohead seems to go hand-in-hand with jocks and sports and all-things-testorerone, right?! Well, they do now – the band has decided to lend their track, “I Might Be Wrong” to the International Olympic Committee, for use in upcoming TV ads for the Winter Games, which taking place in Salt Lake City, UT, in February of next year. So, are those idealistic Brits pulling a Moby on us?? Perish the heretical thought! “It’s not a money thing,” guitarist Ed O’Brien explained. “We don’t do adverts for socks or aftershave. The Olympic committee is a charitable organization. That’s why we’re doing it. If it’s sponsored by MasterCard, we’re not interested. But it’s advertising the spirit of the games.”
