Chemical Brothers Enlist Richard Ashcroft

According to a recent interview with the Chemical Brothers, the boys have corralled ex-Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft to lay down vocals for a track which will appear on the Brothers next record. Ashcroft is apparently just one of several vocalists they’ve enlisted to appear on their upcoming still-untitled album, which they say will “blow your mind.” Speaking about the record, band member Tom Rowlands relates ñ “The thing that really got us into making this record was just making it funky. Maybe nearer our earlier records ñ just a bit more funk and grit, a bit more spanking sound.”
