New Hampshire’s Cyclone Records has announced the dates for the 2001 Pure Punk tour at www.purepunktour.com. The underground punk tour (we’re not talkin’ Blink-182 here) is being sponsored by Foundation Skateboards, Live Magazine, GuitarPunk.com and Rockpile Magazine, and the tour features emerging bands – Germany’s Oxymoron, San Jose’s The Forgotten and Dead Empty and The Boils from Philadelphia. Jeff Surette, owner of Cyclone Records, commented on the website, “At first it just came out as something fun to do this summer but we’ve gotten such a great
response we decided to keep it going every year…it’s time to give a little something back to all the kids. They work and save to buy records, bum rides to get to the shows, this tour is for them.”
