Smashing Pumpkins ñ Gone But Not Forgotten

Despite the fact that the Smashing Pumpkins are a thing of the past, it appears like they’ll be doing the ole Biggie Smalls/Tupac thing and releasing several albums a year anyway. A limited-edition collection of B-sides featuring outtakes from the Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Adoreand Machina/The Machines of Godsessions, is set for release later this year, according to ex-frontman Billy Corgan, and two DVDs are also in the works, though
they probably won’t hit stores until next year. A collection of all the band’s videos will be released first, followed by a concert special filmed at the farewell show, which will include a documentary. In addition, a Virgin Records spokesperson said the tentatively titled Smashing Pumpkins’ Greatest Hits is scheduled for a November 6 release.
