Calamity has befallen Scottish rockers Idlewild, as guitarist Rod Jones has taken a trip to
the hospital, where it was diagnosed that he has a wrist condition that necessitates cancellation of their
upcoming US tour. The tour, due to kick off July 11 in San Diego and wrap up in New York City on
August 12 has been canceled without replacement dates named as of yet. Hopefully, Jones will rehabilitate
quickly and the band will be able to hit the road again and bring their live fury to venues all across the land
shortly.
Goth-shock veteran Marilyn Manson will indeed feature in Johnny Depp’s upcoming
movie, as it had been rumored previously on The Tripwire. Manson will provide music for From
Hell, the Depp-starring Jack The Ripper retrospective. The score had already been provided
for the film, but the director brought Manson in to tweak it some, make it darker and more Marilyn like.
The colored-contact one has also recorded a brand new track for the film, which will be used at the end of
the movie.
