Bumbershoot Festival Set For Labor Day Weekend

The 31st installment of Seattle’s annual Bumbershoot festival is set to kick off at the Seattle Center on Aug. 31. The venue will house over 20 stages during the holiday weekend, including the ever-popular electronic tent, as well as an indie-label showcase for the peeps. The festival will feature performances by the Black Crowes, the Rollins Band, Ween, Stephen Malkmus, Reverend Horton Heat, Rufus Wainwright, Neko Case, Ratdog, Loretta Lynn, Mos Def, Low, Guided By Voices, Cat Power, David Lee Roth (huh?), Jurassic 5, and Dilated Peoples, among many others. According to the official web site, www.bumbershoot.com, the tickets are $12 a day in advance, and $16 the day of the event.
