In the wake of the resurgence of festivals on the US concert scene (Area: One, Jubilee, etc.) comes word
that one of the two biggest festivals in the UK will be making its way onto our shores. The Reading
Festival, which takes place in Reading, England, is going to be held on September 8 in Camden, NJ, chosen
as the largest venue in close proximity to Reading, Pennsylvania. The UK event, which features such acts
as Travis, Green Day, Manic Street Preachers, Marilyn Manson, Papa
Roach and Staind over its three day tenure, is bringing over one of its headliners to headline
the US event as well: Eninem. Also featured on the one-day US bill are Linkin Park and
Xzibit. Many more acts from the alternative, hip-hop and dance world will be named to the bill in
the coming weeks.
Tickets for this year’s event at the Tweeter Center go on sale July 21. The festival will travel next year,
hitting more US cities.
