Beck, Stereolab Play Funky Little Songs

According to the official Beck web site, www.beck.com, the young funkster has joined forces with several other bands for a tribute album paying homage to Bruce Haack. Who is Bruce Haack, you ask? … he became famous in the 60s as an “electronic pioneer,” making instruments out of regular household objects, etc., and is a noted influence on the current crop of electronica bands. Beck will contribute a cover of Haack’s “Funky Little Song” for the as-yet-untitled tribute record. Other bands appearing on the release include Stereolab, Money Mark, Mouse On Mars, Cornelius, and Sukia.
