Corgan To Record Solo Album, Collaborate With Lisa Marie Presley?

Ex-Smashing Pumpkins frontman and generally large craniumed guitarist Billy Corgan is
planning on releasing a solo album. Corgan, who is currently on tour with New Order, has laid
down some demos in his home town of Chicago and hopes to start recording the album by the end of the
year. He is also keeping busy during his bizarre (love triangle) summer of 2001 by co-writing a song for
Lisa Marie Presley and working on the new album by Marianne Faithfull, joining other
acts such as Beck and members of Blur, who are also lending a hand to Faithfull’s
record.

Meanwhile, Corgan’s old band are planning to release a Greatest Hits compilation and a DVD sometime in the near
future.
