Weezer have announced the replacement bassist for wack job Mikey Welsh who recently checked himself into a loony bin. Scott Shriner from the Los Angeles outfit Broken will replace Welsh for Weezer’s upcoming tour with Cold, and the upcoming KROQ Inland Invasion this weekend (that is if Welsh convinces himself that he is a German cow boxing champion and can not return to the band). Weezer hit the road with their oddest opener ever, Cold, on September 11.
