McCartney Benefit Concert Plans To Feature Reformed Led Zeppelin

In what could be one of the biggest concerts in recent memory, Paul McCartney has
asked the three remaining members of Led Zeppelin (Robert Plant,
Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones for those of you with memory loss) to
reform for a benefit concert to aid victims of the September 11 attacks, already named
Live Aid II. Sharing the bill alongside the reformed guitar giants that night could be
acts as large and as varied as Limp Bizkit, The Who, Eminem,
David Bowie, Neil Young, Billy Joel, Mary J. Blige,
Bruce Springsteen and Macca himself. The event is planned for October 20
and is to be held at Madison Square Garden.

The benefit spectacular is being thrown together by McCartney and Harvey
Weinstein the head of Miramax Films and hosts that have been approached number
Jerry Seinfeld, Gwenyth Paltrow and Chris Rock in their ranks.
Talk about an industry shindig. Imagine how fast tickets will blow out if just half of this
lineup is confirmed…
