Sunny Day Real Estate Reincarnation In the Works, Again

Jeremy Enigk and William Goldsmith, respectively the vocalist/multi-instrumentalist and drummer of legendary emo group Sunny Day Real Estate, are recording together in the pairís hometown of Seattle. While the new project remains unnamed, the personnel bear a striking resemblance to Sunny Day Real Estateís classic incarnation, before the groups first split in 1995. The two artists are working with producer Brad Wood, who twisted the knobs on the groups landmark 1994 debut, Diary, and the follow-up, LP2 (or The Pink Album). Also, original bassist Nate Mendel (currently of Foo Fighters) is doing his thing on the new album, leaving only ex-guitarist Dan Hoerner, who is busy working on his “Art Conspiracy” multimedia project, out of the mix. There is no word yet on a label, release date, tour, or basically anything at all, but that wont stop the buzz from surrounding this highly anticipated project.
