WKQX/Q101 in Chicago recently witnessed the resignation of Program Director Dave Richards on September 6. Now the station has filled the PD shoes with another Richards, this time it’s Tim Richards, formerly of WKQI/Detroit. The new Richards comes from a Mainstream CHR in Detroit, and according to Q101 VP/GM Chuck DuCoty, “Tim brings extraordinary leadership and team building skills to the position, along with all of the other talents you look for in a program director like
vision, focus, competitive drive, strategic thinking and creativity.” For a solid month now, Q101 has been competing with WZZN (The Zone) which recently flipped from Pop to Modern Rock.
