Morrissey’s 87th Greatest Hits Album Headed For Shelves

For a man who hasn’t released an album since 1997’s Maladjusted, Morrissey
sure has issued a number of greatest hits compilations. Ready yourself for another. The
former Smiths frontman will have another best-of collection, wondrously titled
The Best Of Morrissey, hit shelves on November 6. The album will consist of 21
Moz jams, including the smash-hits “Everyday Is Like Sunday”, “Suedehead”,
“Hairdresser on Fire” and “We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful”, as well as
lesser known “hits” such as “Glamourous Glue”, “Do Your Best And Don’t Worry” and a
track previously unissued in the US, “Lost”. The packaging will be quite special, though, and
will include a interview with the Duke of Depression, as well as rare photos and a full lyric
sheet. Having already released an almost identical record in the UK, as well as 2 CD-single
boxsets in the past year, one could wonder about the impetus behind the decision for another
hits CD, but since he was the lead singer of one of the best bands in the past 20 years, we’ll
let him get away with it, even if it does come across as a bit greedy.

That tracklisting in full:

“The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get”
