Avalanches To Hit U.S. ñ This Time Itís For Real

After getting pushed back from an October 16th street date stateside, the Avalanches and London / Sire have finally announced the new date in which the Australian, sample-happy, disco dancing, party bringing, quintet will get American asses shaking in every direction. On November 6th, Since I Left You, the album that has been an essential at every house party for the past two years down under and the past year in the UK, will finally hit the ready and waiting U.S. public. For those of us who are lucky enough to have already been listening to the advances with our friends, this means no more explaining, “Ya, they kick ass. No, I donít know when you can one. No, I wonít burn it for you, you mooch.” In the meantime, the Avalanches are preparing to make their way through England for a promotional DJ tour ending in mid-November, after which, they will take it to select as-yet-undisclosed US locations. Also, according to Billboard, the Avalanches will be back stateside in 2002 for a full-scale live tour.
