Love Takes Time Out From 26 Lawsuits To Play Her First Solo Show

Courtney Love, still wishing that some of her late husbands talent would have rubbed off on her, played her first solo show last Friday (Oct. 26) to a meager showing. The coastal town of Ventura, California was the setting for Loveís less than inspiring debut, where her between-song banter took precedence over a barrage of sloppy, unrehearsed new songs. Love even took some verbal swings at Fred Durst, Trent Reznor, Marilyn Manson and of course Dave Grohl. In regards to Durst, the ex-Hole frontwoman said, “I’m going to fucking kick him out of your ass! I’m so fucking sick of him playing golf with all the fucking [record] executives. We’re going to show him what Sixties punk rock is.” Well, if sixties punk consists of playing a set where sloppy renditions of never-before-heard songs forces a portion of the audience to trickle out of the venue before the showís completion, mission accomplished. The star either didnít care or didnít notice the departure, and with a core group of fans at the front, the surprisingly stylishly dressed Love appeared to relish in the intimacy and the drama.
